The fabulous Cabaret musical

Watched in wonder at the fabulous Cabaret musical in the week.

It stars Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley and it’s a phenomenal piece of theatre. The Playhouse has been turned into 1920s Berlin ‘Kit Kat Club’ and there are surprises at every turn.

We entered via the basement, were given Schnapps to drink, had dancers and musicians mingle with the audience all while we waited for the show to start.

The theatre has been completely remodelled, a central stage, with seating in the round, meaning actors and dancers walk amongst the audience. It’s incredible. I won’t spoil it for any others, but Eddie Redmayne was unlike anything I would have imagined him to be. The costumes are very very creative. It deserves all the Awards going….

These photos are the press shots, all phones were turned off, which was a brilliant suggestion.
