NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM // THE ANNING ROOMS
The Anning Rooms are an exclusive restaurant and lounge for the use of Members and Patrons of the Natural History Museum in London.
From the third floor restaurant and fourth floor lounge, visitors can enjoy unrivalled views of the Museum’s famous architecture. They can also walk around and walk up the two storey ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’, a double sided, double height gigantic showcase. It contains over 200 specially selected incredible specimens uncovered from the NHM collections.
Alfred Waterhouse’s architectural renderings and Mary Anning’s original sketches and letters are also on display. The rooms were also given character through dramatic bold wallpaper designs based on 19th century illustrations of plants, fruits and fungi.
