UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Penrhyn, Llanberis, Bethesda, Dinorwig, Ynys-y-Pandy Mill, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Llechwedd Deep Mine, Dorothea and the Nantlle Valley - just a selection of the sites we’ve visited over the past 3 weeks to get up to speed with the Slate Landscapes of North Wales.

Each site and landscape is unique, but as a whole they tell the story of how ‘industrialisation’ affected the communities, the workers, the culture and even the Welsh language itself - which was why in 2021 the area was awarded World Heritage Status. High praise indeed.

The Guardian / Observer (18/08/24) - published an article detailing the development grant of £400.000 the National Slate Museum has received from the NLHF (National Lottery Heritage Fund)

We are incredibly proud to be heavily involved with the project adding our creativity and inspiration into the mix to make the project a success it so deserves.
