Porth Mawr Mosaics

Seven mosaics are in the process of being created for Porth Mawr in Caernarfon, which eventually will end up being installed onto the open stone paved roof overlooking the town.  

Each of the mosaics tells a story of the castle and town walls, and Rob Turner has been especially commissioned to work with us to create these beautiful pieces of art which will depict the stories of its 800 year old history.  Stories will include its construction in the reign of Edward I, through sieges and battles to the town expansion in the Industrial Revolution.
